Obsessed (Nov)
Just sharing my treasures with the world
The absolute first thing I have to share are the Sunzel leggings that everyone says are dupes for Lululemon (I have never owned a pair, so I cannot weigh in). They have been on sale lately and I haven’t paid more than $16 for a pair! They are so soft, you can’t see through them, and they have washed up just fine. I had some of their old variations, which I loved, but they discontinued them for awhile and then revamped the line. They aren’t warm, at all, but that’s generally not what I’m going for when I’m working out.
I had to buy Biscoff cookies for a recipe and while I’ve had them before (mostly on airplanes) I didn’t have much of an opinion, since I tend to be a chocolate girl. Not sure what the deal is, but I am madly and passionately in love with these super basic treats. They’re not too bad nutrition-wise, for a cookie, and the crunch just hits. The obsession has gotten so intense I bought a huge box of them at Costco, which is saying a lot, since I have serious commitment issues with snacks and rarely buy them in bulk.
My Christmas trees! I have one in my classroom that my students made ornaments for and three in my house. While the eight-footer (or nine?) downstairs holds all the sentimental ornaments, the cozy vibes from the one in my room are perfect for reading or doing yoga by.
I have never owned a motorcycle jacket or have even considered it, but I saw one styled super cutely and decided I needed one. I found this Levi’s one on massive sale (it’s gone back up since, but you never know with Christmas sales) and can’t wait to give it a spin this weekend. I love how versatile they are- super casual with jeans and a t-shirt, with slacks for an edgier professional work look, or with a dress to make things interesting. I’m slightly concerned about the laundering, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
I have always been a casual Mumford & Sons fan but recently started listening to t their new single with Hozier, “Rubber Band Man” multiple times a day. I had been actively ignoring Lord Huron’s announcement that they were doing festival with them in San Diego at the end of December, since I’m wary of outdoor financial commitments in the winter and because I have been to many concerts this year (including Lord Huron), but then this single hit. Between playing it on repeat and then the targeted Instagram ads for the concert I was screwed. Guess where Sawyer and I are going to be on December 27?
